Specialized Veterinary Services is growing and we are looking to add an outstanding surgical technician to our team!
The qualified surgical tech provides assistance to surgeons during invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures and maintains the function and sterility of equipment and supplies in the operating room. The position also ensures that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available for each surgery case as well as monitors par levels of all surgical equipment and supplies, and cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments.

Specialty departments include emergency, surgery, cardiology, neurology, internal medicine, imaging, off-site MRI and CT. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications with a generous benefits package.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of surgical tech experience and be compassionate, well-organized, devoted to patients, and possess the ability to take initiative. He/she will work closely with the specialty staff. This individual must also be team-oriented and have excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues, clients and the referring DVM’s. Must also be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Required Experience:
• High school diploma
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred, but not required
• Good understanding of all surgical instruments
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Scrub Tech in the OR, Endoscopy and SPD
• Good computer skills
